Brand overview

Featherlee is a premium kitchenware brand focused on timeless wood craftsmanship. The brand specializes in high-quality wooden products that are both functional and visually elegant. Every Featherlee product is handcrafted in Wyoming by skilled artisans who pay close attention to detail.

Featherlee stands firmly behind its craftsmanship by offering a lifetime guarantee against defects in materials or workmanship. As a small business, the brand values quality, transparency, and customer satisfaction. This commitment to excellence has helped Featherlee build trust with customers who appreciate authentic, well-made products.

Challenges

As a growing brand selling on Amazon, Featherlee relied on Amazon FBA to store and ship its products. Featherlee began facing common but costly FBA-related issues that were difficult to track manually.

  • Warehouse handling damage: Wooden kitchen products are sturdy but can still be damaged due to improper handling, stacking pressure, or storage issues inside Amazon fulfillment centers. Several units were marked as Damaged_FC and removed from sellable inventory. Identifying whether these damaged units were properly reimbursed required reviewing multiple reports, which was a time-consuming process that was also prone to error.

  • Inbound shipment discrepancies: During inbound shipments to Amazon warehouses, some units were marked as missing or not fully received. Tracking which shipments had shortages and confirming whether Amazon issued reimbursements was difficult without a clear FBA reconciliation process.

  • Manual reconciliation was inefficient: Featherlee initially attempted to review FBA reports manually. With limited internal resources, manually checking Amazon reports was time-consuming and confusing, making it difficult to know what money was actually recoverable.

Solution

To simplify the process and recover missed reimbursements, Featherlee implemented Refunzo’s automated Amazon reimbursement audit system.

1. Automated audit

Featherlee connected its Amazon Seller account to Refunzo and initiated a full reconciliation audit. Refunzo scanned the account of the past 12 months of Amazon FBA transactions using more than 20 checkpoints to identify FBA reimbursement-eligible cases across lost and damaged inventory.

2. Identification of discrepancies

Refunzo reviewed inbound shipment data, inventory adjustment reports, and FBA lost and damaged records. The system identified all cases marked as Damaged_FC and Lost_FC that required further review. Each case was validated against Amazon’s reimbursement policy and timelines. Refunzo ensured that only eligible claims were submitted. Every case included SKU-level details, shipment IDs, and supporting evidence.

4. Manual expert review and claim filing

Our Amazon reimbursement specialists manually reviewed all identified cases for accuracy. Approved claims were then filed directly through Seller Central with complete documentation. This reduced delays, avoided rejections, and ensured smooth processing. Refunds were credited directly to the seller’s account without additional manual work. With an all-in-one dashboard overview, the brand could easily track the status of each Amazon FBA refund claim in real time.

Results

After using strategic reconciliation with Refunzo, Featherlee quickly recovered funds that had previously gone unnoticed. The recovery improved cash flow and brought greater accuracy to their FBA operations.

  • Total amount recovered: $16,914

  • Claim types: Warehouse handling damage, inbound shipment discrepancies

  • Time taken for recovery: 4 days

  • Time saved: Approximately 30 hours per month in manual reconciliation work

Client feedback

Refunzo uncovered losses we would not have found on our own. Before using it, we had no clear way to track which damaged or missing units were actually eligible for reimbursement. Refunzo clearly showed where Amazon owed us money. We recovered our money without spending hours reviewing reports or opening cases ourselves. It removed a lot of manual work and gave us confidence that our FBA account is now being properly reconciled.
